Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 3:00 - 4:00 pm
Wednesdays from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. 
There is no detention on Fridays.

REMINDER TO ALL MARINERS...All absences must be cleared within 72 hours.  Any absences not cleared by then will result in a unexcused absence.

  • Congratulations Marlena Deleeuw , Lelani Valdez, Alondra Ortiz-Fernandez, and Octavio Carreto for for being nominated for this week's Mariner Moment!  Mr. Smith honored Marlena Deleeuw for leading by example! Ms. Emanuel honored Lelani Valdez for aspiring higher. Ms. Quitzau honored Alondra Ortiz-Fernandez for making AHS a safe community, aspiring higher and leading by example! Ms. Kriscunas nominated Octavio Carreto for making AHS a safe community. 

  • #1 ranked Girls Soccer will play Thursday on the road. #1 Boys and #1 Girls Basketball will play back to back Wednesday at Scott's Valley.

  • Boys soccer won in the first round of the SCCAL Tournament  4-2 and will keep their playoff hopes alive Wednesday in the semifinals @ Harbor!

  • Congrats to Wrestler Luke Keashal on winning Sids BBQ Athlete of the week! Luke is a leader of the team, and after being out with injuries, Luke returned to the lineup and had a great showing in South SF last weekend! Luke, come. Mr. Fox for your giftcard!

  • Big Shout Out to the Aptos  Song Pom Team! They are leaving Thursday for Nationals in Anaheim and will represent Aptos against teams from all over the country! Congrats and good luck!

  • Congratulations to the surf team for their performance this weekend at Pleasure Point.  The boys beat Santa Cruz Mountain and both boys and girls progressed many competitors to the semifinals.  Congratulations to Ben Cox for taking 5th place overall in the Men’s Shortboard and Jack Rice for taking 1st place overall in the Men’s Longboard.

  • Saturday Academy will be held this Saturday from 9:00 to 1:00 pm.  We recommend you sign up on Aptos High School's website. Attending Saturday Academy can help you clear unexcused absences, cuts and tardies. Space is limited.  Unexcused absences and tardies can place you on the exclusion list, which can affect your ability to attend school events.

  • Another Small Points Redeem Day is coming up on February 18th! You can redeem your points for candy, donuts, Mariner gear and other prizes.

  • Our third Club Carnival of the 2019-2020 school year will be held in the Maian Quad on Friday February 28th! Clubs should take this opportunity to promote their club, and to raise some funds! Come to the ASB Room E-103 to pick up a CLub Carnival Request Form!



  • Need community service hours? Come to D-105 for Interact Club on Mondays at lunch, we have lots of community service opportunities and free snacks.

  • Want to help clean up your local environment? Join the Surfrider club, meetings are held on Mondays at lunch in Mr. Hueth's room D-107. Come help us beatify our community and get community service hours!

  • DRIVING & PARKING ON CAMPUS ALERT....... TICKETING IS IN EFFECT... Vehicles not adhering to all parking and driving regulations are subject to ticketing or towing!
  • ABSENCES MUST BE CLEARED WITHIN 72 HOURS, 5 unexcused absences equals 1 Saturday School. Be sure to check your attendance on a regular basis, if you have 5 or more unexcused absences just attend a Saturday School and sign in. Students are responsible for keeping track of their attendance.
