from 3:00 - 4:00 pm
Wednesdays from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. 
There is no detention on Fridays.

REMINDER TO ALL MARINERS...All absences must be cleared within 72 hours.  Any absences not cleared by then will result in a unexcused absence.

  • Many thanks to Mrs. Reyna, Mr. Cruz, Ms.Ota, Ms. Stevens, and. Ms. Adolto for honoring a students for the Mariner Moment Award for the week of September 9 - 13.  

  • Mrs. Reyna honored Heath Hegna for leading by example!

  • Ms. Ota honored Nick Mendoza and Katie Knapp for aspiring higher and leading by example. 

  • Ms. Stevens honored Karina Garcia for SAILing! 

  • Ms. Adolfo honored Jordan Ramos and Tyrone Montes for leading by example.

Honorees will receive 25 “5star” points for being recognized for their contribution to a positive school culture at AHS.

  • Join us on Friday 9/20 for our 50th Anniversary celebration from 5:00pm to 7:00pm @ the PAC Atrium and Gym.

  • Club Carnaval is coming up this Friday September 20th during lunch. This is a great chance to recruit more members to your club AND to raise money for Club Activities. If your club would like to participate, please turn in your Club Carnival Request Form to Room E-103 by Tomorrow September 17th.

  • Student Ticketing for illegal parking is in effect. If you have not already purchased a parking pass please do so. Parking permits are being sold only before school, during lunch and right after school.

  • Mr. Gruber is going to Europe this Summer, are you? Drop by c-107 and get information for a trip to Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Paris… All students are welcome! See Mr. Gruber for details!!!

  • Students, University of Hawaii @ Manoa, University of Redlands and University of California, Berkeley will be visiting our campus this week come to the College and Career Center Sign up in Naviance or simply drop in. Check the daily bulletin for dates and time.

  • The Van Zantes Photographers are still accepting school photos at a discounted price until 9/30/2019. You can turn in the order form to Silvia in the main office, or check the Aptos High School Home page for online ordering information. Make Up Day for School Photos is on September 10th.

  • Students CSF Applications are now available in the Main office. Please come by and pick up and application.

  • The AHS Rock Band tryouts are September 25th 3pm, in the Choir Room (F Building).

  • Do you want to improve your community , get your required community service hours, improve your college resume, and have fun? Then join the Interact club, the most well-known high school service organization in the world, and make a difference today! Meetings are Tuesdays at lunch in c-106, snacks are provided!

  • Congrats to Sean Galvez on being selected as this week's Sid's BBQ AHS Athlete of the Week. Sean has been a star for boys JV Water Polo. He helped the team take home the win in their last tournament! Congrats Sean and thanks for being a Mariner! Come see Mr. Fox for your $20 gift card to Sid's!

  • Girls golf won their season opener vs Santa Cruz last week and continue play tomorrow vs Soquel.

  • Football swept Sacred Heart on Friday night as both JV and Varsity got the win. Varsity football is on a BYE this week before opening league play vs on the road vs San Benito Friday Sept 7th. 

  • Home events this week include Volleyball on Thursday vs Scotts Valley, Freshman football Thursday vs Bellermine, and Water Polo at home on Friday and Saturday.  Good luck to all teams competing this week! Go Mariners! Sails Up!



  • Students,do you need community service hours?The Mole and Mariachi festival is in need of volunteers for their September 7th event. For further info see Albert at the main office.

  • Need community service hours? Come to D-105 for Interact Club on Mondays at lunch, we have lots of community service opportunities and free snacks.

  • Want to help clean up your local environment? Join the Surfrider club, meetings are held on Mondays at lunch in Mr. Hueth's room D-107. Come help us beatify our community and get community service hours!
